Recipe for Snickerdoodles

This is a simple and easy recipe for snickerdoodles.

What are snickerdoodles?

Snickerdoodles are cookies which resemble sugar cookies - however they are not sugar cookies! The dough is made with cream of tartar and then it is rolled in cinnamon sugar before baking.

As to the origin of the snickerdoodle cookie, it seems that no one really knows. Snickerdoodle cookies' origin has been attributed to:

  • Germans

  • Dutch

  • Americans - New Englanders to be precise

But then again, who cares where cookies come from as long as they taste good, don't you agree?

Make a batch - and then watch it disappear....fast. Don't forget to come back and leave a review or even a recipe of your own.
