Recipe For Peanut Butter Pie

This is a very rich and delicious recipe for peanut butter pie.

I assume since you found this page that there are some peanut butter lovers in your family - maybe you are THE peanut butter lover! There sure are some members of my household who would agree with you!

However, for the said peanut butter lovers in my home, a peanut butter pie just would not do...oh no...it has to be a peanut butter chocolate pie!

For whatever reason, some seem to think that peanut butter and chocolate are married....for example a chocolate bar has to be slathered with peanut butter and peanut butter must have chocolate to counter balance it!

Don't get the wrong idea...I am NOT complaining....I love this pie. Moreover, I do think that those of you who love the flavor of peanut butter and chocolate will be delighted by this chocolate peanut butter pie recipe.

The only thing not to like about this recipe for peanut butter pie is the calories.

This peanut butter chocolate pie is quite easy to assemble but doing it the day before you want to eat it is best as it will allow the pie to set. You may want to remove it from the fridge about one half hour before you serve it so that it is easier to cut...and eat!

If you have a peanut butter pie recipe of your own please share it! Your reviews and tips are also welcome!

Ingredients for Chocolate Peanut Pie Recipe

For The Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar

  • 2/4 cup of flour

  • 6 Tbs. of unsalted butter

  • 3 oz of unsweetened chocolate

  • 1 Tb. of heavy cream

  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract

  • 1/8 tsp. of salt

For The Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter

Note: I have never used a regular brand such as "Peter Pan Peanut Butter" or "Jif." Instead I use an all natural peanut butter.

  • 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

Chocolate Topping - Ganache

  • 4 cups of semi-sweet chocolate

  • 2 cups of heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter chips

  • 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips
