Homemade Mixes

Homemade mixes are so convenient when you are in a hurry. It is true that you can buy them but why would you want to when you can so easily - and cheaply - make them at home.

No one blames you for wanting to use mixes. When your life is very busy, you want to spend less time in the kitchen and more time doing what is important...like spending more time with your family

These mixes will give you the ability to enjoy the convenience of mixes - without compromising your health nor your pocket-book - by making your own...right in your own kitchen.

There are no disadvantages of making your own. They are:

  • Easy

  • Cheap

  • Fun

  • Simple

  • Healthier - you can pick the ingredients and avoid preservatives

  • They make great gifts - presented in a jar or a nice container.
Granted not all mixes land themselves to gift giving but many of them do.

Mixes can be made for a variety of foods from sweets - such as a homemade cake mix or a homemade brownie mix - to dips such as a ranch mix or even your own taco mix.

A few years ago, it seemed that homemade mixes in a jar were quite popular. Now, forget about buying a book, buy a few jars instead, pick a mix and you've got yourself a wonderful gift which is sure to be a people pleaser.

As always, I welcome - and desire - your recipes, your tips and your input. So if you have something to share...please do so!

Make your own mixes - Comments and reviews.
