Chicken Rice Casseroles





These chicken rice casseroles are a great way to use your chicken - or turkey - leftovers.

So what is a casserole?

Being from France, when I first came here and heard the word "casserole," I had no clue what that meant. In French, a casserole is a saucepan!

In the United States, a casserole is a meal that is made with all the ingredients are mixed and cooked into one pan - usually a 9x13 dish. Incidentally in England,. such a dish is called a bake!

So try some of these easy chicken and rice casseroles and then give us your opinion. You can even submit a recipe of your own and pictures. In order to do so, you may use this easy form.

Chicken Rice Casseroles





Easy Chicken and Rice Casserole #1


Alfredo Chicken Rice Casserole

  • 4 cups cooked chicken - or turkey - cubed or shredded

  • 1 cup milk

  • 5 cups cooked rice - white, brown, wild or a mixture of all

  • 2 cups frozen peas - defrosted

  • 2 cups bread crumbs

  • 4 tablespoons butter - melted

  • Salt and pepper taste




In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the butter and the bread crumbs. Pour into a greased 9x13 dish.

Combine the bread crumbs and the melted butter, sprinkle over the top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Wait 5 minutes before serving.

Serves 8
