Amish Breakfast Recipe: Ingredients
- 1 medium yellow onion - chopped - about 1 cup
- 4 cups of grated potatoes
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of shredded Swiss cheese or Monterey Jack cheese
Breakfast Hash Brown Recipe: Method
In a pan, cook the bacon pieces. Drain the fat. Remove the bacon.
In the same pan, sautee the onion.
In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inches baking dish. Put the casserole mixture in the dish.
Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand about 10 minutes before serving.
This will make about 12 servings.
