Blueberry Pancake Syrup





This homemade blueberry pancake syrup recipe is so easy and so delicious, you'll be making it often.

Blueberry maple syrup is a wonderful way to dress up your pancakes, waffles and even your French toasts. It is such a nice change from plain maple syrup or worse a maple syrup substitute laden with high fructose syrup. You can even add a dollop of whipped cream to make a perfectly people pleasing feast.

The best part of this homemade blueberry syrup recipe is that you do not need fresh blueberries. This means you can make a batch of this blueberry maple syrup any time of the year.

This is such a simple recipe which only requires 7 ingredients and it tastes so good.

So go ahead make some pancakes - waffles or even French toasts - and make a batch of this homemade blueberry syrup as well. Pssst, this blueberry syrup recipe also taste great on vanilla ice cream! But don't take my word for it...try it for yourself!

Homemade Blueberry Syrup Recipe






Blueberry Pancake Syrup

  • 2 cups of frozen blueberries

  • 2/3 cup of sugar

  • 2 Tbs of cornstarch

  • 3 Tbs of lemon juice

  • 3/4 cup of pure maple syrup

  • 1 cup of water plus 2 Tbs of cold water

  • 1 Tb of butter











Blueberry Maple Syrup

Combine the blueberries, the sugar and one cup of water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved completely.

Remove from the heat.

Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining water (2 Tbs).

Add the cornstarch mixture to the blueberry/sugar mixture and place the pan back on the stove. Bring to a boil and let boil for two minutes while using a whisk so that the syrup does not stick to the bottom of the pan.

Add the lemon juice and the butter.

You are done. Serve warm.
